In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect daily from 10.00 pm to 6.00 am of the following day on 24 and 31 July 2026, and on 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 August 2026, the following road sections shall be subject at different times to the speed limits of 80 kilometres per hour, 70 kilometres per hour or 50 kilometres per hour: -

1. Tai Po Road – Sha Tin southbound from a point about 20 metres south of its junction with the slip road leading to Sha Tin Rural Committee Road to its junction with Shing Mun Tunnels Road southbound; and
   
   
2. Shing Mun Tunnels Road southbound from its junction with Tai Po Road – Sha Tin southbound to a point about 1 170 metres south of the same junction.

        Any change in the speed limit in accordance with this notice may be put into effect from time to time by appropriate traffic signs to be erected, displayed, replaced, removed or altered on site so as to ensure that adequate guidance is given to drivers of motor vehicles as to the speed limits currently to be observed on the roads.
