In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 1.00 am to 5.00 am on every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during the period from 8 August 2026 to 20 August 2026, the following sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour:

1. The section of Shing Mun Tunnel Road northbound from a point about 180 metres north of its junction with Tsing Sha Highway northbound to its junction with Tai Po Road – Sha Tin Section northbound; and
   
   
2. The section of Tai Po Road – Sha Tin northbound from its junction with Shing Mun Tunnel Road northbound to a point about 555 metres north of the same junction.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limits on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
