ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
TEMPORARY SPEED LIMITS IN SAN TIN HIGHWAY AND FANLING HIGHWAY, YUEN LONG

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 0.01 a.m. to 5.00 a.m. daily on every Monday to Thursday (except public holidays) during the period from 7 August 2026 to 17 September 2026, the following sections of San Tin Highway and Fanling Highway will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:

  (i) the section of San Tin Highway eastbound between about chainage marker 33.0A and about chainage marker 31.4A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour or 80 kilometres per hour;
  (ii) the section of Fanling Highway eastbound between about chainage marker 31.4A and about chainage marker 30.2A will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour;
  (iii) the section of Fanling Highway westbound between about chainage marker 30.1B and about chainage marker 31.4B will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and
  (iv) the section of San Tin Highway westbound between about chainage marker 31.4B and about chainage marker 32.8B will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour or 80 kilometres per hour.

  Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

  At the same time, the existing speed limits on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
