ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 374)
Temporary Speed Limits on West Kowloon Highway

      In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct the following road sections will be temporarily subjected to the speed limits as described below:

    1. From 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. of the following day daily on 17 and 20 August 2026

    1. the section of West Kowloon Highway northbound from about chainage marker 3.3 to about chainage marker 3.8 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and

    2. the section of West Kowloon Highway northbound from about chainage marker 3.8 to about chainage marker 4.9 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.
   2. From 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. of the following day daily on 19, 24, 25 and 27 August 2026

    1. the section of West Kowloon Highway northbound from about chainage marker 3.3 to about chainage marker 3.8 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour; and

    2. the section of West Kowloon Highway northbound from about chainage marker 3.8 to about chainage marker 5.3 will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

       At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
