ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES ON HAMILTON STREET, YAU MA TEI

         In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 1 September 2026, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

1. 1. the northern kerbside lane of Hamilton Street between Nathan Road and Shanghai Street;
      
      
   2. the southern kerbside lane of Hamilton Street from is junction with Shanghai Street to a point about 15 metres east of the same junction; and
      
      
   3. the southern kerbside lane of Hamilton Street between Nathan Road and Portland Street.

         Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

            (a)  picking up or setting down passengers; or

            (b)  loading or unloading goods.

         The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate road markings.

         At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road section will be rescinded.
