TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT NOTICE
Temporary Traffic Arrangements in Wan Chai

      Notice is hereby given that to facilitate road works, the following temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented in Wan Chai during the time specified below:

From 10.00 pm to 6.00 am the following day daily on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 24 August 2026 to 6 October 2026 and from 11 December 2026 to 29 December 2026 (Except 31 August 2026, 25 September 2026, 24 December 2026 and Public Holidays)

A. Road Closure
A section of Canal Road East between Lockhart Road and Hennessy Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

B. Turning Movement Arrangement
Vehicles will be prohibited from making left turn from Lockhart Road westbound onto Canal Road East.

C. Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles on Lockhart Road westbound heading to Hennessy Road eastbound will be diverted via Stewart Road southbound.

From 10.00 pm to 6.00 am the following day daily on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 October 2026 to 10 December 2026 (Except Public Holidays)

A. Road Closure
A section of Canal Road West between Lockhart Road and Hennessy Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

B. Turning Movement Arrangement
Vehicles will be prohibited from making left turn from Hennessy Road eastbound onto Canal Road West.

C. Traffic Diversion
Affected vehicles on Hennessy Road eastbound heading to Lockhart Road westbound will be diverted via Yee Woo Street eastbound, Sugar Street, Gloucester Road northbound, Gloucester Road westbound and Percival Street southbound.

Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.
