ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
CLOSED ROADS IN SAN SHAM ROAD AND HUANGGANG PORT BUILDING HONG KONG PORT AREA, YUEN LONG

  In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 27(1) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 a.m. on 21 August 2026, the following road sections in San Sham Road and Huanggang Port Building Hong Kong Port Area will be closed to all vehicles 24 hours daily, except those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport or exempted from the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing of Vehicles) Regulations, Chapter 374E under regulation 3(c) of the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing of Vehicles) Regulations:

(a)   the northbound carriageway of San Sham Road;
(b)   the southbound carriageway of San Sham Road; and
(c)   all roads in the Huanggang Port Building Hong Kong Port Area.

  At the same time, in exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 27(3A) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby grant an exemption to urban taxis and New Territories taxis which enter or leave the said road sections for the sole purpose of carrying persons to or from the Lok Ma Chau Boundary Control Point from the above closure from 11.00 p.m. to 6.30 a.m. of the following day daily when the road closure is implemented.

  The extent of the closed roads will be indicated by appropriate traffic signs.

  At the same time, the existing closed road area on San Sham Road will be rescinded.

  This notice supersedes Gazette Notice G.N. 4544 and 5069 published on 24 July 2026 and 14 August 2026 respectively.
