In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 1.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m. on 22 September 2026, the following sections of Fanling Highway will be temporarily subject to the speed limits as described below:

　　(i) the section of Fanling Highway eastbound from a point about 96 metres west of its junction with San Tin Interchange to a point about 290 metres east of the same junction will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour;
　　(ii) the section of Fanling Highway eastbound from a point about 290 metres east of its junction with San Tin Interchange to a point about 30 metres east of its junction with Kwu Tung North Road will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour; and
　　(iii) the section of the slip road leading from San Tin Interchange to Fanling Highway eastbound from a point about 140 metres east of its junction with San Tin Interchange to its junction with Fanling Highway eastbound will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour.

　　Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists.

　　At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
