ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN WAN CHAI
In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 4 September 2026, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:
(a) the southern kerbside lane of Wong Nai Chung Road from its junction with Shan Kwong Road to a point about 30 metres east of the same junction;
(b) the eastern kerbside lane of Shan Kwong Road from its junction with Wong Nai Chung Road to a point about 90 metres south of the same junction;
(c) the northern kerbside lane of Yik Yam Street from its junction with Shan Kwong Road to a point about 30 metres east of the same junction;
(d) the western kerbside lane of Wong Nai Chung Road from its junction with Sports Road to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;
(e) the western kerbside lane of Wong Nai Chung Road from its junction with Sports Road to a point about 35 metres south of the same junction;
(f) the northern kerbside lane of Sports Road from its junction with Wong Nai Chung Road to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
(g) the southern kerbside lane of Sports Road from its junction with Wong Nai Chung Road to a point about 30 metres west of the same junction;
(h) the eastern kerbside lane of St. Francis Street from its junction with Queen's Road East to a point about 55 metres south of the same junction;
(i) the southern kerbside lane of Queen's Road East from its junction with St. Francis Street to a point about 10 metres east of the same junction;
(j) the northern kerbside lane of Queen's Road East from its junction with Lun Fat Street to a point about 10 metres west of the same junction;
(k) the western kerbside lane of Lun Fat Street from its junction with Queen's Road East to a point about 45 metres north of the same junction;
(l) the northern kerbside lane of Queen's Road East from its junction with Ship Street to a point about 15 metres west of the same junction;
(m) the western kerbside lane of Ship Street from its junction with Queen's Road East to a point about 25 metres north of the same junction;
(n) the eastern kerbside lane of Spring Garden Lane from its junction with Queen's Road East to a point about 30 metres south of the same junction;
(o) the southern kerbside lane of Queen's Road East from its junction with Spring Garden Lane to a point about 115 metres east of the same junction;
(p) the northern kerbside lane of Kennedy Road from its junction with Fung Wong Terrace to a point about 20 metres west of the same junction;
(q) the northern kerbside lane of Kennedy Road from its junction with Fung Wong Terrace to a point about 20 metres east of the same junction;
(r) the eastern kerbside lane of Kennedy Road from its junction with Wan Chai Gap Road to a point about 70 metres south of the same junction;
(s) the eastern kerbside lane of Shelter Street from its junction with Causeway Road to a point about 25 metres south of the same junction;
(t) the southern kerbside lane of Causeway Road from its junction with Shelter Street to a point about 5 metres east of the same junction;
(u) the eastern kerbside lane of Leighton Lane from its junction with Leighton Road to a point about 5 metres south of the same junction; and
(v) the southern kerbside lane of Leighton Road from its junction with Leighton Lane to a point about 35 metres east of the same junction.
Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:
(a) picking up or setting down passengers; or
(b) loading or unloading goods.
The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.
At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
