ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES ON PORTLAND STREET, PITT STREET, RECLAMATION STREET AND CANTON ROAD, YAU MA TEI

         In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 11 September 2026, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:-

1. 1. the western kerbside lane of Portland Street from its junction with Pitt Street to a point about 10 metres south of the same junction;
   2. the southern kerbside lane of Pitt Street from its junction with Portland Street to a point about 5 metres west of the same junction;
   3. the section of Pitt Street from its junction with Reclamation Street to a point about 40 metres west of the same junction;
   4. the western kerbside lane of Reclamation Street from its junction with Pitt Street to a point about 10 metres north of the same junction;
   5. the eastern kerbside lane of Reclamation Street from its junction with Pitt Street to a point about 15 metres north of the same junction; and
   6. the section of Canton Road from its junction with Waterloo Road to a point about 85 metres north of the same junction.

         Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles, except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

           (a) picking up or setting down passengers; or

           (b) loading or unloading goods.

         The extent of the restricted zones have been indicated by appropriate road markings.

         At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road section will be rescinded.
