Members of the public are advised that to facilitate drainage works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Kung Um Road from 10.00 p.m. to 5.30 a.m. on the following day daily on 11, 12 and 13 September 2026:
(A) Temporary Traffic Arrangements
(I) Road Closure
The section of Kung Um Road northbound from a point about 800 metres south of its junction with Shap Pat Heung Road to a point about 1170 metres south of the same junction will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.
(II) Traffic Diversion
(i) Affected vehicles exceeding 7 metres in length on Kung Um Road northbound will be diverted via the unnamed road connecting to Lam Tai West Road, the unnamed road connecting to Long Hon Road, Long Hon Road northbound, Shan Ha Road northbound, Town Park Road South eastbound, Lam Hau Tsuen Road southbound and Shap Pat Heung Road eastbound; and
(ii) Affected vehicles not exceeding 7 metres in length on Kung Um Road northbound will be diverted via the unnamed road connecting to Lam Tai West Road, Lam Tai West Road and Lam Hi Road eastbound.
(B) Temporary Transport Arrangements
(I) GMB Route Diversion
New Territories GMB Route No. 39 (Fung Cheung Road bound) will be diverted via the unnamed road connecting to Lam Tai West Road, Lam Tai West Road, Lam Hi Road eastbound, Kung Um Road northbound, Kiu Hing Road southbound and the temporary vehicular bridge westbound near Chun Fai Garden before resuming its original routing.
(II) GMB Stop Relocation
The GMB stop for New Territories GMB Route No. 39 (Fung Cheung Road bound) on Kung Um Road northbound near Muk Kiu Tau Village will be temporarily relocated to about 290 metres southward.
Appropriate traffic signs will be erected to guide motorists. The GMB operator will put up notices to advise passengers of the above arrangements.
