Motorists are advised that to facilitate lift shaft installation works, the following temporary traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Kwai Yan Road and Kwai Foo Road, Kwai Chung from 12.01 am to 5.30 am daily on 23, 24, 29 and 30 September 2026:

(I)     Lane Closure

The following road sections will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic:

• The slow and middle lanes of Kwai Yan Road southbound from its junction with Kwai Foo Road to a point about 310 metres south of the same junction;
• The slow lane of Kwai Foo Road westbound from a point about 50 metres east of its junction with Kwai Yan Road to a point about 23 metres west of the same junction; and
• The fast lane of Kwai Foo Road eastbound from its junction with Kwai Yan Road to a point about 75 metres west of the same junction.

(II)    Banning of turning movement

• All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from making left turn movement from Kwai Foo Road westbound onto Kwai Yan Road southbound; and
• All vehicles will be temporarily prohibited from making right turn movement from Kwai Foo Road eastbound to Kwai Yan Road

(III)   Traffic Diversion

• Affected vehicles on Kwai Yan Road southbound heading for Kwai Yi Road northbound will be diverted to travel via Kwai Yi Road southbound, Kwai Fuk Road roundabout and Kwai Yi Road northbound;
• Affected vehicles on Kwai Foo Road westbound heading for Hing Ning Road northbound will be diverted to travel via Kwai Foo Road westbound, Hing Fong Road westbound, Kwai Fuk Road southbound, Kwai Fuk Road roundabout, Kwai Yi Road northbound and Kwai Yan Road northbound; and
• Affected vehicles on Kwai Foo Road eastbound heading for Kwai Yan Road southbound will be diverted to travel via Kwai Chung Road northbound, Kwai Yik Road westbound, Hing Fong Road westbound, Kwai Fuk Road southbound, Kwai Fuk Road roundabout, Kwai Yi Road northbound and Kwai Yan Road northbound.

(IV)   Public Transport Arrangements

• The bus stop of the KMB Routes No. 31M, 32M, 36M, 58M, 67M, 69M and 235M on Kwai Yan Road (southbound) will be temporarily suspended.

        Motorists are advised to drive with utmost care and patience. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists. Public transport operator will display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements.
