To facilitate the works of the Kwu Tung North New Development Area, the section of Ma Tso Lung Road between Kwu Tung North Road and Ho Sheung Heung Road will be permanently closed. The routeing of New Territories GMB Route No. 51B (Sheung Shui Station – Liu Pok / Ma Tso Lung (Shun Yee Sun Tsuen) to Sheung Shui Station) will be partially adjusted with effect from 12 October 2026 (Monday). Details of the adjusted routeing are as follows:

Liu Pok bound

via San Wan Road, San Fung Avenue, Po Wan Road, Po Shek Wu Road, Fanling Highway, Kwu Tung North Road, Ma Tso Lung Road and Liu Pok Road.

Sheung Shui bound

via Liu Pok Road, Ma Tso Lung Road, Kwu Tung North Road, Fanling Highway, Po Shek Wu Road, Po Wan Road, San Fung Avenue, Lung Sum Avenue and Lung Wan Street.

The fare, headway and the permitted picking up/setting down points of the above route will remain unchanged. The GMB operator will post notices at the terminus and stopping points to inform passengers of the above service changes in advance.
