Progressive Launch of New Electronic Payment System on Tram

       Members of the public are advised that, starting from 4 June 2023 (Sunday), a new electronic payment system would be launched on Tram progressively. Passengers could use contactless payment (including Visa, Mastercard, Union Pay and JCB Credit Card), mobile payment (including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay) or QR code payment (including AlipayHK EasyGo, Alipay Transit QR code, UnionPay Transit QR Code and BoC Pay transit code) for fare payment.

       For details of the above scheme, please refer to the operator's notice. Other than the aforementioned electronic payment methods, passengers can continue to use cash or Octopus for fare payment.
