ROAD TRAFFIC (TRAFFIC CONTROL) REGULATIONS (CHAPTER 374G)
RESTRICTED ZONES IN CENTRAL DISTRICT

        In exercise of the powers vested in me under regulation 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, I hereby direct that with effect from 10.00 am on 27 March 2026, the following road sections will be designated as restricted zones 24 hours daily:

    1. the western kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Magazine Gap Road westbound to Robinson Road westbound;
    2. the eastern kerbside lane of Albany Road from its junction with Upper Albert Road to a point about 15 metres south of the same junction;
    3. the southern kerbside lane of Upper Albert Road between Albany Road and the slip road leading from Cotton Tree Drive to Upper Albert Road westbound;
    4. the northern kerbside lane of Upper Albert Road eastbound from its junction with Garden Road to a point about 185 metres west of the same junction;
    5. the western kerbside lane of slip road leading from Cotton Tree Drive to Upper Albert Road westbound from its junction with Upper Albert Road to a point about 25 metres south;
    6. the eastern kerbside lane of Garden Road from its junction with Queen's Road Central westbound to a point about 45 metres south;
    7. the southern kerbside lane of Queen's Road Central from its junction with Garden Road to a point about 55 metres east;
    8. the northern kerbside lane of Queensway between Murray Road and Cotton Tree Drive westbound;
    9. the section of Cotton Tree Drive from its junction with slip road heading for Queen's Road Central westbound to a point about 65 metres west of the same junction;
    10. the western kerbside lane of the slip road leading from Garden Road to Cotton Tree Drive;
    11. the northern kerbside lane of Cotton Tree Drive between Garden Road and Upper Albert Road westbound; and
    12. the southern kerbside lane of Cotton Tree Drive between Garden Road and the slip road leading from Kennedy Road eastbound to Cotton Tree Drive.

        Within the restricted zones, drivers of all motor vehicles except franchised buses and those with permits issued by the Commissioner for Transport, will be prohibited from:

    1. picking up or setting down passengers; or
    2. loading or unloading goods.

        The extent of the restricted zones will be indicated by appropriate road markings.

        At the same time, the existing restricted zones on the above road sections will be rescinded.
