In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 40(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Ordinance, Chapter 374, I hereby direct that with effect from 9.00 pm on 2 April 2026 to 5.30 am on 31 December 2029, the following road sections will be temporarily subject to a speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour:

1. The section of Sha Tin Road southbound from a point about 210 metres north of its junction with Sha Lek Highway southbound to the same junction;
2. The section of Sha Tin Road southbound from a point about 130 metres south of its junction with Sha Tin Wai Road southbound to a point about 360 metres south of the same junction;
3. The section of Sha Lek Highway southbound from a point about 200 metres north of its junction with Sha Tin Road southbound to the same junction; and
4. The section of Sha Tin Road southbound from its junction with Sha Lek Highway southbound to a point about 800 metres south of the same junction.

        Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists.

        At the same time, the existing speed limit on the above road sections will be temporarily rescinded.
