As the Eagle's Nest Tunnel and the Sha Tin Heights Tunnel are connected with each other and cannot be used separately, so the traffic figures are the same.
The Airport Tunnel (single bound tunnel) was commissioned on 24 October 2018. As the detectors for vehicle counting started operation since February 2019, the Transport Department does not have the traffic data for 2018 and January 2019. The above figures for 2019 only cover the traffic statistics for the period from February to December 2019. Due to the malfunction of the vehicle detection system used for vehicle counting at Airport Tunnel during some periods in 2020 and 2024, the traffic figures for the affected days are excluded.
The Scenic Hill Tunnel was commissioned on 24 October 2018. The above are the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Crossing vehicular traffic figures provided by the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority. Due to the malfunction of the vehicle detection system used for vehicle counting at Scenic Hill Tunnel during some periods in 2024, the traffic figures for the affected days are excluded.
The Central-Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel was commissioned on 20 January 2019.
The Lung Shan Tunnel and Cheung Shan Tunnel were commissioned on 26 May 2019. Due to malfunction of the vehicle detection system used for vehicle counting at the Lung Shan Tunnel and Cheung Shan Tunnel during some periods in 2020, the traffic figures for the affected days are excluded.
The Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Tunnel was commissioned on 27 December 2020.
The Tseung Kwan O – Lam Tin Tunnel was commissioned on 11 December 2022.
Due to malfunction of the vehicle detection system used for vehicle counting at the Tseung Kwan O Tunnel during some periods in 2023, the traffic figures for the affected days are excluded.
