Special Traffic News
- The slow lane of Western Street between Bonham Road and High Street which was closed due to emergency repairing works is re-opened to all traffic.
- Part of the lanes of Kwun Tong Bypass (Yau Tong bound) between Kowloon Flour Mills and Lam Tin MTR Station which were closed due to road works are re-opened to all traffic.
- “BLACKPINK 2025 WORLD TOUR IN HONG KONG” concert will be held at Kai Tak Sports Park in the evenings of 24 - 26 January. Passengers can access the venue from either Kai Tak or Sung Wong Toi stations.
After the show, train frequency will be enhanced as necessary to make your journey home easier. Please have your ticket ready for your return.

- Concerts will be held from this Saturday to next Monday (January 24 to 26) at the Kai Tak Stadium. As a large number of spectators is expected to disperse at the same time, the Transport Department (TD) urges those leaving the venue to take the MTR as far as possible.
Details of Public Transport Services
MTR:
-The headway of the Tuen Ma Line will be enhanced to disperse spectators;
-Of note, for cross-boundary travellers, the last train to Lo Wu Station on the East Rail Line via interchanging at Tai Wai Station will depart from Sung Wong Toi Station at 10.59pm and Kai Tak Station at 11.01pm;
Special bus routes:
-Eleven special bus routes have been arranged at the Sung Wong Toi Road Pick-up/Drop-off Area departing for ports and major districts across the territory;
-Cross-boundary travellers may take route no. SP12 to Lok Ma Chau (San Tin) Public Transport Interchange and transfer to the Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang cross-boundary shuttle bus (Yellow Bus) to Lok Ma Chau/Huanggang (LMC/HG) Port; or route No. A25S to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) Hong Kong Port and transfer to the HZMB shuttle bus (Gold Bus) to Macao and Zhuhai; and
Taxis:
-Taxi pick-up/drop-off area at the Kai Tak Stadium (G/F outside Gate H) is opened for taxi pick-up. In view of an outflux of spectators, the waiting time is anticipated to be longer and your patience is appreciated.
Spectators are advised to take heed of the real-time information via on-site broadcast and the "Easy Leave" (easyleave. police. gov. hk) as well as the latest traffic news through the TD's website (www. td. gov. hk), the "HKeMobility" mobile application, radio and television broadcasts.
- Temporary road closures at Pak Tam Chung and Sai Kung Man Yee Road, Sai Kung
1. To facilitate the holding of the Hong Kong 100 Ultra Marathon from 22 January 2026 (Thursday) to 25 January 2026 (Sunday), temporary road closures will be implemented at Pak Tam Chung and Sai Kung Man Yee Road, Sai Kung:
(A) 22 January (Thursday) and 23 January 2026 (Friday)
• The section of Tai Mong Tsai Road between Pak Tam Chung Physically Handicapped and Able-bodied Site and Sai Kung Man Yee Road will be temporarily closed from 7.50 am to 8.10 am; and
• The section of Sai Kung Man Yee Road from its junction with Tai Mong Tsai Road to a point about 8.3 kilometres south of the same junction will be temporarily closed from 7.50 am to 10.00 am.
(B) 24 January 2026 (Saturday)
• The section of Tai Mong Tsai Road between Pak Tam Chung Physically Handicapped and Able-bodied Site and Sai Kung Man Yee Road will be temporarily closed from 6.50 am to 7.10 am; and
• The section of Sai Kung Man Yee Road from its junction with Tai Mong Tsai Road to a point about 8.3 kilometres south of the same junction will be temporarily closed from 6.50 am to 9.00 am.
2. During the road closure period of Sai Kung Man Yee Road (i. e. from 7.50 am to 8.10 am on 22 January and 23 January 2026 daily and 6.50 am to 9.00 am on 24 January 2025), Green Minibus and taxis will be prohibited to enter Sai Kung Man Yee Road, until the reopening of the road. The service of New Territories Green Minibus (GMB) Route No. 9A (Pak Tam Chung – High Island Reservoir, East Dam) will be temporarily adjusted subject to the actual traffic conditions on 24 January 2026.
3. During the suspension of public transport services, visitors may only access the East Dam on foot. Visitors should plan their journeys well in advance, pay attention to on-site instructions, and observe their safety. Departments concerned have maintained close liaison with the event organiser and have been steering the GMB operator for early preparations, so that vehicles would be deployed in advance for the service enhancement as soon as the road reopens to meet passenger demand, in co-ordination with the Police's traffic control measures to ease passenger flow.
4. Other temporary road and traffic control measures, including adjusting the extent of road closures and alteration or suspension of public transport services, may be implemented by the Police at short notice depending on the actual traffic conditions. The TD appeals to the public to pay attention to the temporary road closures and public transport service adjustment arrangements. Members of the public who plan to go to the affected areas should plan their journey in advance, allow sufficient travelling time to avoid unexpected delay. Motorists and visitors should exercise patience and follow the instructions of the Police on-site.
- As informed by the Chinese Mainland Railway Authorities, the
following train service adjustments will come into effect on 26 January:
· Schedules, stopping stations and train numbers of some train
trips will be adjusted.
· Train service on the Shanghai Hongqiao Line will be
enhanced:
o 1 additional pair of regular train trips* will operate, stopping
at new stations including Nanjingnan, Wuxidong and Hefeinan;
o 1 additional pair of sleeper train trips will operate on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, stopping at Ganzhouxi and
Nanchangdong Station.
· Five pairs of short-haul train trips will be extended to departing
from/ ending at Guangzhounan Station.
· A pair of train trips originally departing from/ ending at Xiamen
Station will now be extended to Fuzhou Station.
* Train trips
G384/5 departing from Shanghai Hongqiao Station will operate from 27 January.
To facilitate the
above adjustments, the following train trips will be suspended on designated
dates:
· 25 January
Travelling between
Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and between Xiamen Station: G3008, G3007
· 26 January
From Meizhouxi Station
to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station: G6590 (originally G6542)
