Special Traffic News
- Due to traffic accident , part of the lanes of Tuen Mun Road (Tuen Mun bound) near Ka Loon Tsuen is still being closed to all traffic.
Only remaining lanes are available to motorists.
Motorists may use alternative routes such as Castle Peak Road or Tai Lam Tunnel.
Traffic is congested now.
- The vehicle clearance plaza (Hong Kong bound) of the HZMB Zhuhai Port is very busy now. Members of the public who plan to drive their private cars back to Hong Kong via HZMB are advised to plan ahead their journeys, reserve sufficient commuting time, and be patient while queuing. The public can check the real time situation of the vehicle clearance plaza of HZMB Zhuhai Port through the WeChat official accounts "hzmbzhport" or "zhuhaifabu" (or visit https://traffic-info.gzazhka.com:5015/#/)(Chinese only) before starting their journeys.
- The Transport Department (TD) anticipates that more travellers would return to Hong Kong via land-based Boundary Control Points (BCPs) tomorrow and the day after (6 & 7 April 2026). The TD appeals to these inbound travellers to plan ahead their journeys and be patient as it is anticipated that the demand for public transport services will be higher during the inbound peak period and the waiting time would be longer. The TD has instructed public transport operators to strengthen their services to meet passenger demand. The TD's Emergency Transport Coordination Centre will continue to monitor the traffic and public transport services at all land-based BCPs, and shall disseminate the latest traffic news through the TD's website (www. td. gov. hk) and “HKeMobility”.
Inbound drivers using Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) are reminded to reserve sufficient travelling time and be patient in queue. The public may check the real time situations of the vehicle clearance plaza of HZMB Zhuhai Port through the “hzmbzhport” or “hzhuaifabu” WeChat official accounts (https://traffic-info. gzazhka. com:5015/#/), in order to plan their journeys ahead.
- To meet passenger demand during the holidays, High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) will add the following temporary train trips between Futian Station and Hong Kong West Kowloon Station:
2, 4, 5, 7 Apr: 13 additional pairs of train trips per day

• 3 – 7, 11 – 12 and 18 – 19 April: Increased frequency with extended service hours

- Handy tips for travelling High Speed Rail during holidays
As it is the peak period for travel, please:
1. allow more time for immigration procedures. You may enter the gate at Level B1 up to 120 minutes before the departure of your train.
2. visit the 12306 official website (12306. cn) or mobile app to check for the latest train schedules and any service adjustments.
3. use public transport to get to the station as parking places will be in high demand.
4. use the drop-off/pick-up area at the Ground level, Exit B (Wui Man Road pick-up/drop-off area) for pre-booked taxis or vehicles
- Members of the public are advised that, the traffic within Tsang Tsui Columbarium, Nim Wan Road and in its vicinity will be busy on the weekends during the period of Ching Ming Festival. Special traffic and transport arrangements are implemented in Tuen Mun Tsang Tsui during weekends and public holidays from 14 March to 19 April 2026, please visit TD’s webpage for details. Members of the public travelling to Tsang Tsui Columbarium are advised to make use of MTR Bus Route No. K52A and KMB Route No. 56S at MTR Tuen Mun Station or KMB Route No. 52S at Tuen Mun Road Bus-Bus Interchange (Tuen Mun bound). Members of the public are also advised to plan their journey early and allow more travelling time, keep in view the latest traffic news through radio, television broadcasts and TD's "HKeMobility" mobile application, and follow the instructions of the Police.
- To facilitate the construction of T4 Trunk Road, the slow lane of Shing Mun Tunnel Road and its slip road (Tai Wai bound) near Mei Tin Road will be temporarily closed from 01:30 am to 05:30 am on 27, 28, 29 March and 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 April 2026. Motorists should pay attention and follow the temporary directional signs, road marking and traffic signs at scene. Please refer to the Transport Department Notice for details of the temporary traffic arrangement.
- Members of the public are advised that, the traffic within Wo Hop Shek Cemetery and in its vicinity is expected to be busier on the weekends during the period of Ching Ming Festival. Special traffic and transport arrangements are implemented in Wo Hop Shek for Ching Ming Festival, please visit TD’s webpage for details. Motorists are advised to keep in view the latest traffic news through radio, television broadcasts and TD's "HKeMobility" mobile application. In case of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police.
