Special Traffic News
- Due to vehicle breakdown , the slow lane of Fanling Highway (Tai Po bound) near Kwu Tung is closed to all traffic.
Only remaining lanes are available to motorists.
Traffic is busy now.
- The fast lane of Austin Road (Hung Hom bound) near Pilkem Street which was closed due to vehicle breakdown is re-opened to all traffic.
- Part of the lanes of Hong Chong Road (Cross Harbour Tunnel bound) near Hong Kong Polytechnic University which was closed due to vehicle breakdown is re-opened to all traffic.
- Affected bus routes gradually resume to their original routeings.
Bus services which were affected by the traffic accident at Fanling Highway (Tai Po bound) have gradually resumed normal.
- Traffic at Shing Mun Tunnels (Sha Tin bound) has resumed normal.
- The slow lane of Lantau Link (Kap Shui Mun Bridge) (Airport bound) which was closed due to vehicle breakdown is re-opened to all traffic.
- Part of the lanes of Kwun Tong Bypass (Yau Tong bound) near East Kowloon Government Offices which was closed due to traffic accident is re-opened to all traffic.
- Part of the lanes of Kwai Chung Road (Cheung Sha Wan bound) near Lai Chi Kok Fire Station which was closed due to traffic accident is re-opened to all traffic.
- The following ferry services are temporarily adjusted on 22 July 2026:

'Ma Wan - Central' Route:
- Ma Wan to Central: Sailings departing at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. are replaced by bus services (Route NR338S)
- Central to Ma Wan: Sailings departing at 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. are replaced by bus services (Route NR338S)
'Ma Wan - Tsuen Wan' Route:
- Ma Wan to Tsuen Wan: Sailing at 8:10 a.m. is cancelled
- Tsuen Wan to Ma Wan: Sailing at 8:30 a.m. is cancelled
- In response to the demand, the High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) will add the following temporary train trips:
From Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Futian Station

- Due to watermain emergency works , the slow lane of Shau Kei Wan Road (North Point bound) near Sun Sing Street is closed to all traffic.
Only remaining lane is available to motorists.
Traffic is busy now.
- Members of the public are advised that to facilitate urgent tram track maintenance works, the following tram services will be suspended from 17 July 2026, until further notice.
Eastbound

Westbound

Passengers travelling between Sai Wan Ho and Shau Kei Wan can take alternative public transport services, including railway services and Citybus Bus routes 2, 2X, 77, 99 and 720.
Hong Kong Tramways will also disseminate the above-mentioned tram service arrangements through various channels, including posting notices at affected tram stops and uploading the said information to Hong Kong Tramways' website and mobile application.
The Transport Department will remain in close liaison with Hong Kong Tramways to monitor the works progress and provide timely updates the public on the latest traffic news. For the details of the special traffic and transport arrangements, members of the public may browse Transport Department website at www.td.gov.hk or make use of the "HKeMobility" mobile application of Transport Department.
- Transport Department has received notification from MTR Corporation Limited that to make citizens' holiday travel easier, East Rail Line train service frequency will be increased during specific periods over the summer vacation weekends (18 July – 30 August).
