On-street parking spaces are provided where they do not obstruct traffic. Where there are limited spaces and a high demand, on-street parking spaces are metered to deter prolonged parking. Currently, there are about 19,000 metered parking spaces, most of them are available from 8 a.m. to midnight on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on general holidays.
