#Through the Bus Route Planning Programme, TD reviews the service level and passenger demand of franchised bus routes in each district to meet the travelling needs of the public. TD would consider factors such as local development, demographic changes, the completion of transport infrastructure, existing and projected passenger demand, service level of public transport services, and traffic conditions on busy roads ,etc., for rationalizing and improving bus services. Having regard to the latest operating situation of franchised bus services and other relevant factors, TD may re-examine individual route proposals as appropriate and would continue to closely monitor the public transport services and passenger demand in relevant districts. TD would discuss with franchised bus operators for appropriate service arrangements to cater for the travelling needs of the public.
