Information on roadside parking spaces, parking lots, and electric vehicle charging facilities
- For information on roadside parking spaces, car parks and electric vehicle charging facilities in Hong Kong, please refer to the " HKeMobility " APP or website.
- Roadside parking meters support multiple payment methods, including WeChat Pay and UnionPay. Drivers wishing to pay parking fees remotely can download the "HKeMeter" mobile application from the relevant app store. - Public and private parking operators are actively enhancing convenience measures, including installing automatic license plate recognition gate systems, supporting mainland payment methods, and providing charging facilities for electric vehicles that meet national standards. - The Transport Department is setting up a paid charging station for STGV on Lantau Island near the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, so that drivers of Guangdong vehicles can charge their electric vehicles upon arrival or before departure. Pay tunnel tolls using "HKeToll"
- Applicants must top up the "HKeToll" accounts of their Guangdong vehicles to pay for the toll fees when using Hong Kong's toll tunnels upon arrival in Hong Kong. Applicants will receive an email or SMS from the "HKeToll" toll service provider, containing "HKeToll" account login credentials (account number and default password), within 3 days of receiving the "International Circulation Permit" and approval letter. Please log in to the official "HKeToll" website or mobile application as soon as the email and SMS are received to top up your account for paying the tunnel fee.
- Please note that access to many popular Hong Kong attractions, such as Victoria Peak, Golden Bauhinia Square, and Ocean Park Hong Kong, requires passing through Hong Kong toll tunnels. Some vehicular tunnels (such as the three cross-harbour tunnels and Tai Lam Tunnel) have different tolls at different times. Failure to pay tunnel fees on time will incur an additional charge of up to HK$525 per trip and may affect the next southbound trip. Vehicle Support Information
- In the event of a serious traffic accident requiring emergency assistance, please call 999 to notify the police; and contact your insurance company's service hotline to request relevant emergency assistance based on your purchased insurance coverage. However, remember to submit a claim form to the insurance company within 24 hours. For more details, please refer to Hong Kong Federation of Insurers website.
- If the traffic accident is not serious, you can refer to the vehicle emergency support information provided by the Transport Department ( including tire and battery services(Traditional Chinese Version Only), repair points(Traditional Chinese Version Only), towing services(Traditional Chinese Version Only))to choose a suitable service provider for vehicle repair.
